Building on the momentum of our 2025 Summer School, the Summer School returns to Barcelona from June 22 – July 10, 2026, delivered by the Botstiber Institute for Wildlife Fertility Control (BIWFC) in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). The 2026 Wildlife Fertility Control Summer School will continue to examine fertility control within the broader context of wildlife management, conservation ethics, policy, and human–wildlife conflict.
Highlights from the 2026 Summer School
Our Summer School Human–Wildlife Coexistence: Navigating the New Frontier of Fertility Control, organised in collaboration with Prof. Manel Lopez-Bejar at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, brought together students from new countries. France, the US, Egypt, Singapore, India and China were represented by the 13 students that attended the school.
The feedback received was unanimously excellent. Students loved our enthusiasm and passion for the subject and enjoyed the time spent learning. Some commented they would appreciate if we added more group discussions and activity sessions.
